"Map won't open, I just get the spinning wheel and the app goes no further".
Check you have an internet connection when you first open the app. Once the map loads it will work with no connectivity but it does need to load initially.
Check you allowed the app to use you location 'Whilst using the app". If you disallowed location permissions the won't be able to locate you and therefore open the app. If you haven't enabled location permissions you will get a message requesting you switch them on in the Capra app settings in your phone.
Here are a couple of known challenges with Android devices that you may bump into. We will keep adding to this list as we find more.
Mobile Browser. If you are using non Chrome browsers such as Opera GX and Firefox you may have issues scanning Capra QR codes. We recommend using Chrome for your mobile browser. If you are using Firefox one of our Capra users discovered this helpful article to resolve the issue where a needed setting is switched off by default.
Location Permissions. Some Android devices require 'Precise Location' to be switched on for using Capra. Approximate Location can crash the app. Here's an article about Android location settings.
Logging In
If you get logged out of your app account you will need to log back in to access your saved information. Make sure you log in using the same method you originally created your account with ie. Email & Password, Apple ID or Facebook account.
Forgot Password?
You can reset your password for Capra if you originally signed up using the email + password method. See the picture below for how to do this.
Tap 'Log back in using email' then tap 'Forgot your password?'. You will be sent a link to reset your password.
